I celebrated an anniversary today.
One year ago, I kept a promise to myself to create something. I needed a way to reach people I can’t Monday through Friday in a downtown office.
I wanted a place where I could catalog emotions and give myself — and maybe others — a sense of history and perspective.
The journey has been fun and exhilarating and frightening.
For the most part, it has been lonely.
In 2012, this blog buried a former colleague, chronicled the decency of Garth Brooks, bemoaned the onset of middle age and championed life in a small town. It reached 41 countries, including Vietnam, Poland and Australia.
Here’s hoping 2013 is just as eventful.
To those who have found me, thank you.
To those who haven’t, please keep looking.
