Greg Luzinski, a former outfielder with the Philadelphia Phillies, once named his dog “O-for.”
It was a reference to his hitless streaks, a time when he might string together a pair of O-for-4s to go with an O-for-5.
I feel a lot like Luzinski these days.
But instead of searching for hits, I’m searching for words, the right ones to tell a story, touch a life, make a difference.
Inspiration can be a bitch.
For many, it spews like a geyser, ideas keeping the mind fed for days on end. My brain often lets me go hungry.
Time to get back into the batting cage.
A slump can’t end unless you try to break.
